Lying in the major tourism triangle of Nha Trang – Mui Ne – Da Lat, although Ninh Thuan’s climate is harsh, it is still an attractive destination with unique natural landscapes.
Phan Rang – Thap Cham is the capital of Ninh Thuan province. In order to come here, tourists can go to Nha Trang by plane and then go 60 kilometers more to be here by bus or taxi.
The first destination in the journey of discovering Ninh Thuan is Nui Chua national park, and Vinh Hy bay. Going by bus, tourists can save money and have a chance to learn about local people’s life. Along the 40-kilometer road, salt fields in succession are quiet and bright like a mirror.

Having the highest number of hours of sunlight in Vietnam, Ninh Thuan’s climate is quite harsh and dry. However, this is considered as a gift of nature for salt farmers. Therefore, Ninh Thuan is a suitable place for producing salt with the highest productivity and quality over the country.

Nui Chua National Park is 1,039 meters in height. This is one of the largest natural conservation sites of Vietnam with a total area of more than 24.300 hectares. Nui Chua is regarded as the unique and special forest which is typical for the dry-ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

Around 40 kilometers northeastern away from Phan Rang - Cham Temple Town is Vinh Hy Bay, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Ninh Thuan Province.

The cliff system is an attraction in Vinh Hy. With the length of 4,500 meters surrounding the bay, at the height of 20 – 30 meters, the cliffs with vertical cuts make an imposing scene.

After being immersed in primitive beauty of Vinh Hy, tourists can visit the fishing village and enjoy seafood. Most tourists’ impression on the fishing village is that the food is good and cheap, and the people are very friendly hospitable.

In addition, Ninh Thuan is famous for grape gardens. The large green grape gardens bring the largest grape production in the country.

Going back to Phan Rang in the afternoon, there is an ideal place to contemplate the sunset. That is Nam Cuong sand hills in Cham Tuan Tu village being 8 kilometers from the city centre. Nam Cuong has an area of 700 hectares, including sand dunes and sand valleys alternately. It is near Ninh Chu beach so when wind blows from the beach towards the sand dunes, sand moves like wave, making a magic scenery.

Dicovering interesting things in Phan Rang – Thap Cham and other surrounding districts, tourists cannot miss Poklong Garai Tower – the most imposing and intact Cham towers in Vietnam.

Ninh Thuan is the old native land of Cham people. Going into Cham villages, tourists can learn about local people’s routines. They still remain matriarchy.

The scenery and people in Ninh Thuan are like grapes growing up from dry soil, and grains of salt training themselves under the sunshine of Phan Rang.
